FAQ’s.

This is a frequently asked question?

Do I need to own a business or identify as a creative to attend?

Not at all! While we often refer to MTHR as a “Creative Retreat”, it doesn’t mean you have to be in a creative field to receive the benefits of what we’ve curated for you all weekend long. The retreat aims to be a networking hub for mothers from all career backgrounds to enlighten and inspire one another while drawing awareness that we shouldn't have to white-knuckle our way through motherhood alone. MTHR is especially resourceful for those that are looking to network and build supportive friendships that will thrive outside of our retreat. Past attendees include: stay at home mothers, artists, actors, lawyers, hairdressers, bloggers, authors, PR agents, and much more.

I’m an introvert! Is this the right retreat for me?

MTHR has been carefully produced with every personality in mind. While our schedule has been designed to bring us together in community, absolutely everything is still on an opt-in/opt-out basis, meaning that if you find that you need more space for yourself or from some of the weekend’s activities, we encourage you to tune into your needs and give yourself the rest you need to return to calm.

What COVID-19 measures will MTHR be taking at the retreat?

Your safety and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to us. While we can’t know for certain how things will look come November, we will be deferring to Autocamp’s safety protocols and precautions for the time being. In the interim, we do encourage everyone to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and we will require a negative PCR test within 3 days of traveling to the retreat OR proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the logistics of our all-inclusive event, we are unable to offer refunds once you spot is secured. We can, however, transfer the seat to another individual if there is a wait list, or you can sell your spot with prior approval from the MTHR team. Once your replacement pays in full, we will be happy to refund all money that you have paid. If the event is cancelled by MTHR for any reason, you will receive a credit for next year’s retreat.

What should I pack?!

Average November temperatures in Guerneville, Russian River are upper 60’s during the day, and low 40’s at night. Bring lots of layers- sweaters, jeans, yoga/sweatpants, etc. Some of us wear our favorite outfits all weekend long because we’re excited to be OUT of the house and have an occasion to get dressed for, and some of us swan dive into our sweatpants the moment we arrive. THERE ARE NO RULES. Come as you are, mama.

We are committed to hosting a responsibly sustainable retreat with a minimal carbon footprint and impact to the environment, and we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.

I want to attend, but I don’t have a bunkmate to room with.

No problem, no mama left behind! We are excellent matchmakers when it comes to bunkmates and pairing mamas together (just ask our past solo traveler attendees!). Just leave us a note that you’ll be traveling solo when purchasing your double occupancy ticket, and we’ll take care of the rest.

I have a few dietary restrictions and food allergies. Will this be accounted for?

Yes! When you go to purchase your ticket, you will fill out a registration page that will ask for this information.
